Team Sparring

Team versus team continuous sparring. A team is typically 5 fighters (plus reserves). Each fighter meets one opponent from the other team; the team with the most match wins advances.

Points

  • Individual bouts scored under the same rules as Individual Sparring.
  • Each won bout counts as 1 team point.
  • Bout points are tallied across all matchups to determine the winning team.

Penalties

  • Juui and gam-jeom apply per fighter, per bout.
  • A disqualified fighter forfeits that bout to the opposing team.
  • Team coaches receive warnings for unsportsmanlike conduct on the sideline.

Methods of Victory

  • Most bouts won wins the tie.
  • If tied on bouts: aggregate score across all bouts.
  • If still tied: an extra tie-breaking bout is contested by one nominated fighter per side.
