ITF Regulations
Pre-arranged Sparring (Model Sparring)
Two competitors perform a choreographed 2-step or 3-step self-defence sequence. Judged on realism, technique and control - not full contact.
Judged Criteria
- Realism: distance, timing and target credibility.
- Variety: use of a broad range of hand, foot and self-defence techniques.
- Power and control: focused techniques stopped with visible control.
- Choreography: flow, entry and finishing posture.
Deductions
- Uncontrolled contact or injury: major deduction or DQ.
- Broken flow / hesitation: minor deduction.
Methods of Victory
- Higher aggregate judges' score wins.
- Ties resolved by an additional sequence.
